Wild December!

Soft falls the snow, on winter’s morn,
Gently swirling down;
And soon, so soon, this silent fall,
Carpets the barren ground.

A shadowy, silvery, hazy sun
Tries hard, grey clouds to part,
But oh! Too soon the wild-winds come,
And the blinding blizzard starts!
